Restoration of #2579

Post by dmh_stang »

Figured I would post a few pics of the restoration process over the next few months. Hoping to have her back on the road in time for Fall Rod Run this yr in Pigeon Forge. Have not been able to roll her outside to get some good pics due to rain...

If things go as planned I will def be up there! A little worried about the motor after figuring out the trans was left outside in the rain after it was pulled...

Guy has had the car since 2000. He decided to swap engines with one that was supposedly built from Panhandle Performance. I think he lost interest in the car after he pulled everything apart and it has sat outside for the last 2 years. Still trying to figure out why it wasnt stored in the huge garage beside his house :twak: I prob paid a little more than I should have but its hard to watch a good car go to waste!

I would say they are using a skim coat body filler or finish filler, then prepping it for paint. I have heard of this done just never seen a set from beginning to end product.
