PM a price and let me know if it's a complete kit - a list of everything included, mileage and condition.

Thanks

What kind of mass air flow meter? If I go new, I might still be interested in the 42S / Meter.

Hey, Romo. Make any decision on mods to your Cobra?

I've pretty much made up my mind and will be ordering the Vortech (V3) soon. I have been looking into the best places to order the kit. Most of them will match others prices. :headbang:

I would like to run around 10 pds of boost. Can't wait!

Z282SLO - what mass-air are you running? I want to run 42 lb. injectors as well and will need the Massair and injectors - I don't want to use the fmu that comes with the Vortech kit. Did you add a nice FPR as well? :sorry: about all the questions but our setups will be very similar....

Get a hold of Bob Kurgan. In the past he can pretty much guarantee the lowest price on Vortech kits.

Funny you say that - He's first on my list. Used to live right by him in Illinois quite a few years back.

I'm waiting to hear back from Kurgan.

I must say, I'm going back and forth on what I want to do....... The new polished 2.1 KB is very tempting to me! Pricing everything out - the KB is not really THAT much more coin. I don't put a ton of miles on my car and the around town driving with all that torque sounds like fun. :smokin:

No worries about the questions. My pleasure to pass on info about my set-up.

I'm using a Professional Mass Air Systems 80mm MAF along with a K&N High-Flow Oval Tapered Filter. I did not use the Vortech FMU. The fuel system was upgraded w/42-lb injectors, Edelbrock 255 lph in-tank pump, Vortech T-Rex external pump and BBK adjustable FPR. I also upgraded the exhaust with BBK long-tube headers, BBK off-road H pipe and Flowmaster 40s. The ignition is upgraded w/MSD blaster TFI coil and boost timing. When all was complete, the car was professionally dyno-tuned and has been a terror on the road ever since! 8)

If you do something similar, you will not be disappointed! I see that you're still considering the KB set-up. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either, IMO the Vortech system simply gives you the most bang for your buck. Good luck with everything.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the following from Bob Kurgan Motorsports:

Vortech V3/SI-Trim - Polished Tuner-kit (Got a fantastic price from Bob!)
AFM Powerpipe
KMS-Torquer 340 in-tank fuel pump

I just can't wait to get everything installed and tuned. I still need to order a Pro-M / 42LB Injectors.....
