He says he's had 3 different gauges on it and they all do the same thing. The gauges in the center vent are boost and water temp gauges if I remember correctly. I am thinking it's probably an oil pump issue or possibly a cracked pick up. I just can't afford to pay his asking price which he says he's firm on now at $11,500, pay a grand to ship it here and then find out that it's not a simple fix and have to build a new short block for it. Seemed like a stand up guy but yeah, you really never know if you are getting the full story.

I've ran into this a few times on 5.0 mustangs that someone just put a built motor in. First time it was someone didn't put the spacer plate between the trans and block causing it to waste the crank bearings. second time was the guy bought cheap rocker arms and the needle bearings came apart and washed down into the crank, Crank was trash after that. third time was the owner was doing 5000rpm clutch drops on slicks at the track blowing out he thrust bearing on the crank. That time the belt was squealing and with the hood popped you could see the crank pulley walking in and out.

I was going to buy this car but the seller changed his mind i guess. Priced it to me on the phone for 10500 but then i called back to go look at it and he said he had already put it in storage and wouldnt even take the 11500. Also i dont think the miles are right or its had a hard life one. I think i looked at this car years ago and it had 11k miles on it and i passed then because the mileage looked suspect.

I agree Speed. The pictures I got looked like it was a hard 37k miles or it was 137k.

I'm pretty sure I looked at the car years ago in Lumberton NC with 11k miles on it and if I remember it was modded the same but when he put it on a lift for me then it looked pretty much like it does in the pictures now and it didnt strike me as a 11k mile car. When I ran the carfax this car was from lumberton with 11k miles on it so I'm 99% sure it is the same car. It could have been the right miles but it was a hard 11k on it at the time I looked at it and thats why I passed then.

Speed, I know this car pretty well, the car was Built up at a Ford Dealer in Charlotte NC when the car was new. The owners son had all the mods done. But it was originally built as a turbo car. They sold it to a small car lot in Lumberton, this was back in 98 when I seen the car, it was really nice inside and out, but modded to hell and back.

Also, I seen him run the car one night at Rocking ham, but it had the SC set up on it at that time, I think it went a 10.0, at like 136, on his 4th pass he blew it all to hell.

I am not sure when he sold the car, I do know the milage is correct, but I can also tell you they where hard Miles!!! Very Hard.
