Took the teal for a 60 mile drive today, flat spot's suck!
After about first 5 miles or so...... then smooth sailing.

I got to drive my cobra again after fixing the Coolant leak in the front and repairing the wire harness for the alternator.

My battery is officially dead - won't hold a charge. Getting one tonight so I can get used to a slow Cobra before the "toys" get added on in a few weeks. :headbang:

The difference will be striking. You'll be grinning ear to ear from 3000 rpm to 5000 rpm! 8)

Finally got my TKO-600 installed in the red car. Put a RAM twin 10.5 disk setup in front of it, and a new aluminum driveshaft to finish it up.

The twin disc install was pretty simple, however getting the fork/cable setup right was a tad interesting to say the least. As with all my projects it seems, it was a learning experience. Going to get the ole gal cleaned up today and start breaking that clutch in a bit. Feels pretty good so far, so we'll see how it performs when I put the wood to it.

Nice! I think you're going to love it! Got my 500 dialed in finally. Did you have to shim the hell outta the trans to get the yoke/pinion angles right?

No, I've not spec'd out any of that. Just bolted it in place of the 3550 I had in it.

I've been sitting on the tranny for 2 or 3 years now, and have been back on making a few mods to help with the shifting problems the 600's are known for. In the end, I just poured some GM syncromesh and so far it seems to shift pretty well for no miles on it. We'll see how it does at higher RPMs and some power behind it.

Nice! An easy maintence item that most overlook. Just don't forget to loosen the cap or you'll get a fuel shower.
