As so often happens on these "cruises", I eventually got to a stoplight where the relaxing cruise turned into something more exciting. This evening's entertainment level was raised when I pulled up to a '12 BMW 335i. Within a moment or two, it was obvious what was going to happen when the light went green. I must've been a little too relaxed because that Bimmer took off like a bat out of hell (that car has surprisingly strong acceleration) and I didn't pass the guy until I had the tach needle in the yellow and was well past the posted speed limit. The look on the driver's face at the next light said it all - "How the hell did I get beat by a 20-year-old Mustang?!?"
That is funny! Happens to me all the time as well. I quite often get the imports pestering me -I won't even acknowledge anything foreign with a fart can muffler on it, lol! A lot of these newer cars are packing a punch for sure..... no better feeling than waiting for the next red light and letting out a glancing smile.
1993 Black / Black Cobra #3929. V3 with a couple bolt-ons - 63,000 miles and counting....

i do this once a year... and this friday being in the low 80s, perfect weather.. why not? BTW handicap spot is next to my car.. so no cars today right next to it..
LOL. You know you got nothing done today because you were staring out the window the whole time to make sure no car pulled into the HP spot and too close to yours!

My thoughts exactly! I do every once in awhile.....nerve racking all day......especially in traffic going to and from work.
DB, cool to see your son enjoying the ride in the cobra, it really stands out in the parking lot.
crazy how dull and boring all the other dark colored cars are compared to a vibrant red cobra, that is definitely a nice eye catcher while suffering in the "office space"
Took my daughter for a spin around the block... she loves my car almost as much as me! going to wash and shine it up today. Black is so hard to keep clean looking... plus it is quite dusty here in Phx AZ.
