Uh oh ... is it possible DB's upper door paint is not factory correct?!? Oh, the horror!!Romo93 wrote:Last weekend when seeing DBs car - he had a semi-gloss black and I commented it was different than my Black Cobra. DB - Take a shot for us of your inner door.

That's what we're trying to find out. We know blacks and teals had the dark gray and it would be odd if Ford did the reds differently, but it's certainly possible.
Based on your signature, the only production Cobra you have for comparison of upper door paint is your teal. You can't assume what's on your pre-production and your '93 LX are what Ford put on the '93 Cobras.SPEEDFREEK wrote:Z282SLO wrote:^^^^

Mine dont have dark grey they are semi gloss black just like the window trim if it looks gray then its possibly faded.
My teal is semi gloss black just like my red car. Any why would I look at my LX it doesnt even have upper doors. I've only owned about 300 fox cars with 50 or so being Cobras so I think I've got a pretty good idea of what I'm looking at.Z282SLO wrote:Based on your signature, the only production Cobra you have for comparison of upper door paint is your teal. For example, my black '89 GT had black upper door paint that matched the window trim and is not the same as my '93 Cobra. I also know that my Cobra's upper door paint is not faded - it's dark gray as shown in the pics. And the pic of Esco's teal certainly looks like his upper door paint is dark gray as well. (Can you confirm this, bdecoy?)
Hopefully, we'll get some more responses and pics from fellow registry members on this one.
Never said you didn't. And since you're clearly familiar w/Fords, you know how there are lots of production differences among the various Mustang models. Hence, my question as to whether what's on the pre-production is the same as the production models.SPEEDFREEK wrote: My teal is semi gloss black just like my red car.
