That's called progress. The Gatorback is kind of like 8-tracks, Betamax machines and portable car phones. No longer available when the design is obsolete and there are far superior and more modern replacements available.
But don't worry, after another ten years or so, maybe Coker, etc. will start producing vintage "Gatorbacks" for the ol' Cobras.

If this is true they are still going to make them. Pretty reliable source: Right now the Gatoracks are being re-worked by the manufacturer...........They haven't given us a date yet when they will be available...........First batch had some defects.......Check back with me in about 60 days........Maybe by then I will have an answer.....
The Master Distributor said "2nd Quarter"....so by June......
