What is the going price for a 1984 svo turbo mustang in fair shape? Looking into one that could use paint and a little engine work. Plus a good cleaning. High miles too
I love mustangs

SVO

$1500 is pretty cheap, I'd start putting these cars up, as I think they are going to be worth a little money in the future. Just my opinion.

They are going to be the only Mustang that could get decent gas mileage. heh

I rode past a used dealership and saw a really nice one sitting out for sale in Media, PA on Route 1 right outside of Philly.

Looked hella clean from a distance.

I averaged 24 mpg in my 93 cobra over 1500 miles, to and from the RMMR, includes the time in town and autocrossing!!

Dude, thats crazy. I hear these great gas mileage claims but I JUST gas tested mine 250 miles each way to RMMR and I got 18mpg. And that was going easy cruising at 70mph, only getting on it a couple of times and going up the 11,000ft pass each way. W/ 3:55's

Normally I only get 15mpg around town with the way I drive. WTF. LOL

I have had three SVO's With the last one being the most rare and most powerful.
I tried the mileage justification but that last one got worse mileage than my Supercharged '93 Saleen!
They are quirky little cars the once you get under their spell, you may never get out.
My last was an early '85 Comp Prep car (Cobra R if you will) 1 of 41 and was she fast!!!!!!!! I used to LOVE going out and beating up 5.0's on a regular basis. The best part was not only telling them they just got beat by a 4 cylinder, but by a twenty year old four cylinder!!!!!!!!!

Those things are weird. I'd be pissed if I got beat by one, LOL. I'd still take it over any rice burning import anyday, though!

Always did like those, although I have driven two of them and wasn't real impressed by the performance in stock form. But they do look good, the most European looking Fox ever.

Here is the deal with that....I owned my first for about a month and felt the same way. Fun but def not way impressed.
Then something strange happened...I learned how to drive it!!!!!!!! After being brought up on torque filled V8's...The SVO requires a sort of "thinkin outside the box" driving style. Anyone who has owned one long enough will back me up on this. I let a buddy drive my comp Prep car and autocross it and he just was not that impressed....then I jumped into it and as he put it, "its like the car had 200 MORE horsepower" Well, it kinda did because I was NOT letting it out of the boost, where he was and basically was driving a stock 110 hp 2.3 half the time.
