Need 1993 Cobra parking brake bracket !!

Post by whoop »

I've been looking for a parking brake bracket for a while, and just found out why it's so hard to come by -- apparently it's exclusive to the '93 Cobra because of the rear disc brakes. (I've checked a couple of GT parts cars, they have a different setup).

If anyone has a '93 Cobra parts car (long shot, I know), I'm looking for the parking brake bracket in the driveshaft tunnel, just behind the equalizer (under the car). Here's a good picture of the setup, the bracket is close to the center of the photo:

The bracket is welded on, and doesn't have a part number (the dealer doesn't have, and can't get the bracket). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Dave

If you can't find one from a wrecked '93 Cobra, it might be the same as an SVO Mustang, and you might want to check '94-'04 Mustangs as well, as they all had rear disc brakes and the bracket may be similar or the same.

Thanks, I'll definitely check out some 94+ models!

The bracket was missing when I got the car. I honestly have no idea why/how it's missing. The car's lowered, so I thought maybe it dragged a speed bump or something, but since the bracket's above the driveshaft, I don't know how it could've happened..?
