93 Cobra #1758

Post by Newby81 »

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at buying 1of 2 93 Cobars. Both are Teal/Black cars 1 with about 31K miles on the clock and the other has about 47K on the clock. The owner is asking $20K for the 31K mile car and the Dealership is asking $13K for the 47K mile car. Just wondering which would be better. I have seen 5K mile cars selling for $21K. I'll try to attach some pics but I have never done it before. Image 1 is the 31K mile car and image 2 is the 47K mile car. I would like the 31K mile car because it doesn't have a sunroof. Please tell me what you guys think I should go for. I have been searching for a long time and bow I found 2 Teal/Black cars. I'm so lucky.

From the looks of the picture, the 47k one looks a little rough. The first one though looks sweet. Quite a bit of difference money on the two. I do think $20k is too much for it. You can get one with a lot less miles for that much.

Yea 20k is to much but the 47k mile car is priced right but it looks weathered to be sitting in the show room. I would have to see it in person to see if it would clean up on not.

The dealership sent me a video and the car looks great. Both cars are one owner cars and both cars look great. If anyone is close enough to the 47K mile car I would really appreciate it if someone can look at it. This is an email I got from the Dealership. Sorry for this being so long. It is the autocheck history.

Jonathan,

This vehicle is Missouri State Inspected. Below please find a copy of the
AutoCheck record. This Cobra was originally purchased at this dealership
and has been owned by the same person ever since. It is in excellent
condition.

Teal/black, woo! If you got the dough, get the mint car. If you want a little fixer-upper save 7k and get the 13k car.

Both cars are in great condition. The Dealership car passes the State Inspection and Emissions. $20K is a little steep for a 31K car. I would expect to pay maybe $15K.

Both cars are teal with black interior? 13000 for a teal/black with 47000 miles in my opinion is great. These are the rarest of all. A year or two ago, that car would have been a steal. I think fair price for the other one would be 17000-18000.IMO. Wow, two black/teal cobras for sale, the economy must be bad.

Teal Black cloth car

Post by aaronlstiles »

I have seen pictures of the 31K mile car, It like very nice, However has the dreaded Undercoating, This really hurts the value of it. It has holes drilled in the Jams with Black Plugs in them which means it was Zebarted heavily. If you could get it for the same price as the other one or a little more it owuld be worth it, I haven't seen any pictures of the dealer car. Very nice looking though. Are you buying it? If not I am interested, let me know Thanks

The economy is not what it was a Year ago! Prices on them have Dropped Considerably in the last year. I just wish we could see down the road and actually see what these cars are going to do.

I leave in Republic where the car is. I drove by and looked in the window, had some scratches, doesn't look bad from a distance. Would be glad to get with the dealer and look closer but it may be next Saturday before I would get to.

Teal 93's

Post by aaronlstiles »

Sned me an e-mail I have Pics of both cars, and they are both Undercoated Pretty well, the MO car needs Muffelers, 1 has Bad hole and lots of Rust on H-pipe, the car has been sitting for along time, which worries me. But it would make a supurb driver. It would be a good deal for a local purchase, but with shipping and Taxes, it is not much of a good deal they said $12,500. Plus 7% tax, then you figure another 500 to 1000 for shipping, puts you close to 15K in it, Just my opinion.

The rims look pretty rough too. There has been some repainting on the front end also.
