Actually the last 31 cobras were teal there were 31 built on the last day and all were teal!

4989 was the last teal / black cloth , it was sold new at Magic Ford in Valencia, CA

4983 was the last teal / grey cloth

4993 was last teal/ leather.

The last black car was #4962

the last red car was #4961

Your car 4982 rd/dj was sold new in Shawnee, KS. did you buy it new?

Hope this helps , sorry yours wasnt the last of te 185. there was 1 after yours, making yours 184 of 185.

Your registry lists 4989 as a Teal/Black car. Is the registry not correct?

there is a typo in the rgistry its listed as RD/D6, it should be RD/DJ. Probably typed it late at night?

My dad was the first owner...I was working part time at the Ford Dealer in Shawnee when my dad bought the car...It had been sitting on the back lot for months...after the car was prepped it was left unlocked on the back lot and someone got in a popped the hood and stole the injectors out of it. Then a few weeks later the side emblems disappeared....The dealer had a hard time getting the right injectors in stock, so the car sat on the back lot for months on end....I was a service porter at the time and always kept my eye on it...at one time I parked a bunch of pos used traded-in's around to act as a barrier so it didn't get scratched or hit....winter then came and Mustangs in Kansas don't sell well in the winter, so the car sat even longer....I was driving a 85gt at the time and one of the sales guys came up and asked me if I would be interested in trading in my 85 for the cobra on the back lot...He said he make me one hell of a deal! I was working part time and going to school full time...and could barely make the payment on the 85. My dad is also a mustang fanatic, but more into the 60"s cars...but I thought he might go for the Cobra if the price was right, so I told him that they dealer finally got the injectors replace and the emblems back on the car and wanted to sell it bad...he went up there the next day and bought the car....I help the new car porter do the delivery detail on it that afternoon. He owned the car until Nov of 95 an traded it in over on the Missouri side of KC.....I sold my last mustang in 98 and kind of got out of the mustang hobbie. A friend of mine that I used to street race with was always bugging me to get another mustang and I always said that if I could buy back dad's old 93 Cobra I would be back in the mustang life again. I've known its location since about 2002 and finally this past summer I bought the car....I'm the 3rd owner of the car

When I sent you the info for the registry I did not own it yet and was mistakenly told the that mileage was around 50K...The mileage is actually 41K and the only option on the car is rear defrost.

Dude, that's an awesome story. I love those "got it back stories"

I can think of better things to steal than injectors, LOL! Cobra intake, hello.....
